Resumen

Ante la moderna transición del libro impreso al libro electrónico, el texto refiere al mundo medieval de los libros manuscritos. Se investigan los usos que se hicieron de la forma medieval del libro y se encuentra el fenómeno del amor por ellos, un amor que produce el mayor de los placeres. El "Philobiblon" de Richard de Bury, una obra de la primera mitad del siglo XIV, es la principal fuente estudiada. Este texto se ocupa del tema de los libros de manera antropomórficay busca, por ende, hacer convincente la idea del encanto especial provocado por el contacto con ellos.

Abstract

In the background of the modern-day shift from the book medium to the medium of electronic storage, the contribution refers back to the medieval world of handwritten books. The study investigates the uses which the medial form of books found and encounters the phenomenon of the love of books –a love, which brings the highest pleasure. The “Philobiblon” of Richard de Bury, a work from the first half of the 14th century, provides the principal source material for the study. This work treats the topic of books in anthropomorphic form and endeavours thereby to render convincing the especial enchantment of a contact with the books.
