Resumen

Este trabajo reflexiona sobre dos obras separadas por siglos de historia: La Odisea de la antigua Grecia, y El eternauta del siglo XX. En ambas obras parecen combinarse temas centrales del género épico. Aquí se intenta dilucidar cómo dos de esos temas, el héroe y el regreso, se vuelven manifiestos y se analizan las posibilidades y características de la épica en el último siglo. La investigación implica la posibilidad de recuperar elementos de la ficción clásica y de prestar atención a los desafíos que los narradores de historias deben enfrentar en la era de las masas y de la industrialización de la muerte. Abstract

of the Epic genre. This work delves into how two of these themes become manifest, the Hero and the Return, and analyzes the possibilities and characteristics of the epic in the last century. This investigation implies the possibility of recovering elements of classical fiction and paying attention to the challenges which storytellers must confront in the era of the masses and the industrialization of death.
