Resumen

Este artículo procura definir el estilo y la matriz expositiva de las obras de Michel de Certeau, tan difíciles de clasificar según una teoría actualizada de géneros literarios y académicos. Lo hace mediante la apelación a dos rasgos fundamentales de la biografía intelectual del personaje: su itinerancia física y mental, y su formación jesuítica. Ésta se hace presente en el texto no tanto como una organización enciclopédica (la famosa ratio studiorum), sino como una poética paradójicamente fundada en la polimatía y la conciencia de una unidad profunda del mundo.

Abstract

This article attempts to define the style and the expositive matrix of Michel de Certeau’s works, that are so difficult to classify according to an up-to-date theory of literary and academic types. It accomplishes such task through the analysis of two key features of De Certeau’s intellectual biography: his physical and mental wandering and his jesuitic upbringing. This learning appears in the article not so much as an encyclopedic organization (the famous ratio studiorum), but as a poetics paradoxically based on polymathy and the consciousness of a profound unity of the world.
